Fun for the whole family!
Today on Sunday, starting at 11am, TAFF presents a marathon of kid-friendly screenings. There are a 31 lovely animated shorts in altogether 4 screenings. The age limits are either 7 or S (suitable for all ages). The duration of each screening is approximately 45 minutes.
11am, Jo-Jo Teatteri: Junior 2 (age limit 7)
12 noon, Manilla-teatteri: Junior 1 (age limit S)
1.30pm, Manilla-teatteri: Junior 3 (age limit 7)
3pm, Manilla-teatteri: Junior 4 (age limit 7)
NOTE! To attend a screening, you don’t have to have a little one with you! Even grown-ups will certainly appreciate the Junior programme.
At 3pm TAFF proudly presents the Finnish festival premiere of IC-98’s Abendland (Hours, Years, Aeons). Set in a post-human era, the trilogy peers into the future with a deep time perspective. It guides viewers into another plane of temporality: Deep time begins to resonate through fleeting cycles of life, and space appears as infinite dark matter. Here may stand not the last man, but the last tree, left standing alone to spin yarns of the past into a distant future.
On the last festival day there’s naturally a chance to watch the Best of TAFF 2017 (at 12.15pm and 4.30pm) aka the films that were awarded in yesterday’s award ceremony. On top of that, there’s one more chance to experience Fresh from Finland screening (1.30pm) as well as Audience Favorites (4.30pm).
Let’s go to the movies!
Ps. Priit Pärn’s exhibition at B-galleria is open at 12noon–4pm. Free entry!
