In the 17th century Finland the life of a stranger was more worthless than a burnt wooden penny. A magic violin save the life of a Romany man. At the same time Duke Juhana, head of the Turku castle is looking for a bride. The Polish princess Katarina Jagellonica wants to cancel the wedding because the porridge is terrible and the music brutal.

The second part of Katariina Lillqvist´s Kafka trilogy. As the night falls, a shabby old man selling second hand books returns home, the machine room of a lift, where he discovers a giant humming egg. A chamber stork is hatched in the room of the shopkeeper. This fantastic 1920´s doll story features brilliant animation and rhythm, showing that even Kafka can be charming!

A puppet animation based on a story by Franz Kafka about a doctor who tries to live on in a deserted village behind the trenches.
